Carlos Puebla Aracena, Ph.D
Carlos has a degree in Biochemistry at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (Santiago, Chile), also he has a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, mention in Physiological Sciences at the same university. His doctoral training was supported by CONICYT (National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research) with two independent grants: National Doctoral Fellowship and Doctoral Support Thesis. He received his postdoctoral training at Department of Physiology of Biological Sciences Faculty at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, which was supported by a Postdoctoral fellowship from FONDECYT (National Fund for Scientific and Technological Development).
Currently, Dr. Puebla is a Assistant Professor at Universidad Autónoma de Chile and participes in two research projects: FONDECYT - Initiation in Research (Principal Investigator) and Fondecyt - Regular (co-Investigator).
Guisselle Arías Bravo
Guisselle is a biotechnology engineer from the Universidad Tecnológica de Chile, INACAP. Her pregrade thesis was entitled: "Respiratory infections in children under two years: excess malnutrition as a new risk factor associated with the severity of the clinical course and its relationship with a decreased immune response" (tutor: Dr. Loreto Fuenzalida, Instituto de Ciencias Biomédicas, Universidad Autónoma de Chile).
Currently, Guisselle is a Research Assistant and work in the project: Fondecyt 11160536.
David González Quintanilla
David is a dentistry student at the Universidad Autónoma de Chile. David is interested in the surgical area and scientific research. In 2017, on behalf of the laboratory team, he won the Hatton Unilever Award from the International Association for Dental Research - IADR (Chilean Division), this award gave him the opportunity to represent the IADR Chilean Division at the general meeting of the IADR in London (United Kingdom, 2018).
Currently, David is an assistant of the subject Oral Surgery, President of Scientific Society of Dentistry Students in the career of Dentistry (at the Universidad Autónoma de Chile), Scientific Director of the National Scientific Association of Students of Dentistry ANACEO Chile and Research Assistant in the Cellular Physiology Laboratory. Currently, David work in the project: Iniciación Científica 2019.
Beatriz Avendaño Villagra
Beatriz is a biotechnologist from the Universidad de la Frontera. Her pregrade thesis was entitled: "Prenatal Exposure to Inflammatory Conditions Increases Cx43 and Panx1 Unopposed Channel Opnening and Activation of Astrocytes in the Offspring" (tutor: Dr. Juan Andrés Orellana, Faculty of Medicine, Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile).
Currently, Beatriz is a nursing student at the Universidad Autónoma de Chile and Research Assistant and work in the project: Fondecyt 11160536.
